The Congo Rainforest, is the second largest rainforest and is located in central Africa, spans to around 1.5 million square miles.

The Democratic Republic of Congo contains the most part of the rainforest while other significant areas are also exist in Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, the Republic of Congo, and the Central African Republic.

Because of encompassing of diversity of animal and plant species, five of the national parks in the Congo Rainforest are UN World Heritage Sites.
